Hey guys, I'm gonna be going with the TVS soon and I (unfortunately) have to get rid of my GMPP in favor of a 3" exhaust. I'm looking around at different ones and had my eye on the Hahn, but $600+ is just a lot to swallow for an exhaust.

So I was just wondering what type of 3" exhaust setups some of you guys are running. And what any of you custom 3" guys out there are doing, especially if you're running a dual exhaust (or the rare, awesome side exit guys ).

Just post what you have and preferably a sound clip/vid since this thread would be basically worthless without it.

That will be the exhaust im getting in a few months, after my turbo gets put in.

Vibrant is 3".. but is appearantly LOUD AS ****...

I went w/ CustomTubesInc.com I got his catback piping, used a magnaflow oval muffler, and a Hooker brand Resonated Tip. For a resonator I used ZZP's 3" FLo-Pro. VERY quiet and idle and cruise, opens up a little more than my old 2.5" magnaflow exhaust at WOT. Not loud, not farty, not ricey. LOVE IT. I can get a parts list if you like. I can only do a vid from my camera phone tho....

i got the hahn used for a pretty good deal. it was a lil to loud for me so i added a small magnaflow resonator in the dp just before the catback. heres a couple vids

 

I have a full 3" exhaust and it's suprisingly quiet. I had to shorten my DP to get my huge ass resonator to fit since the body of it is 30" and 6" diameter. Running a magnaflow muffler as well as a magnaflow high flow cat.

 

Good stuff guys. I was thinking of doing the Mandrel exhaust setup since $405 is a pretty good deal for stainless. Just gotta figure out which muffler I'd get (Borla or either Magnaflow). Anyone know the major difference between the 5x8 and 6" Magnaflow muffler on that website other than increased airflow?

you could get the CTI 3 inch exhaust from OTT its a good price too

With that site who has any opinions or advantages with the SS over the alum? 3in?
IM looking at 3in with magnaflow bigger muffler and the larger resonator. Anyone have any input?

It comes out to be right around 500 with everything, or should the extra 100 bucks be droped for hahn? I just like the deep tone of the magnaflow

 

What ever one you get should be all 3''. No small restrictive muffler/resonators. Magnaflow is not 3'' to my knowledge....

 

magnaflow makes 3" mufflers and resonators...
I was looking into ZZP's 3" catback personally. Typical 3" exhaust with a good sized muffler, but its also got the whisper resonator, which I remember everyone loving when they first started selling them. Thats probably how I'm gonna go.. Its a little cheaper than Hahns too, which was my other choice.

 

I have the 3" CA downpipe with cat and also the Hahn 3" catback. Best sound ever i think.
