That blind spot really helps because you can't see the other cars when you run them off the road.
Actually just get used to doing mirror checks a lot and never change lanes without double checking first.

well i have my driver side mirror set out so i can barely see the edge of the car to help limit the blindspot... in my civic i could easily see other cars cuz the window was way bigger

I actually thought the mirrors were a little small. The blind spots are still pretty bad, I double check outside and triple check my mirrors to make sure I'm not going to hit anyone.

i was thinking about getting those lil convex mirrors to put on the mirrors, i too thought that the mirrors were small especially for having such a big blindspot... my civic mirrors are bigger or the same size as the cobalt's

If you move your head enough and get the right angle you can see where your blind spots are in your rearview mirror if it is adjusted correctly. I learned that in driver safety class. Probably best to look back and check though.

I check my rearview, and then the side mirrors... if you have them adjusted right, between the 2 there is no more blind spot... in heavy traffic i do however look over my shoulder just to be safe...

If your always out in front there is no blindspot. ...J/K

I find the driver and passenger pillar to be a bit of a problem. I just have to get used to taking that extra look.

I have a 4-door. I never use my mirrors... i always just turn jsut enough to see out of the corner of my eye before i change lanes. Most of the time if im on the highway at night and i go to pass a car, once i pass them i wont switch back over till i see there headlights in my rearview.

J/k... I have noticed that you really have to double check the mirrors because the spot is huge

Yeah I hate the blindspots, I made a few people slam on their brakes from not being able to see them when I first got my car from just using the mirrors. But now I look at my mirrors, and then turn my head and look back before I change lanes...no problems yet.

If you set your mirrors up correctly your car will not have a blind spot.

Please check your blind spots by turning your head. You can not set up your mirrors to completely eliminate your blindspots. Think of how ruined your life would be if you hit a guy on a motorcycle during a lane change. That's instant jail time, insurance cancellation, huge fines, possibly a death on your conscience, etc. Use your head or god help you I hope you get plowed over by a big rig. If I'm on my bike and you come close to hitting me because you didn't see me I will kick in your door and hope you pull over so I can beat your ass.

So angry.... anyway...

Yeah I've noticed the blind spot... it's kinda bad even with the mirror adjusted. I never trust only my mirrors. I double check over my shoulder and even ask my gf if she's in the car with me. I almost got side swiped by a lady changing lanes on Sunday who obviously didn't check her blind spot.

I have the 2.4 SS, so I don't have to worry about the wing... haha.

Not angry. Just protective of my own life. Go ride a bike on the highway for one day and see how much energy you have to use watching other drivers that don't check their blindspots so that you don't get run over. They teach you in drivers ed to check your blindspot with your head for a reason.
