So I just got off the phone with my salesman. He called central ordering to change the interior of my blue cobalt to have the blue inserts. While talking to them he got my vehicle's assembly moved up 3 weeks since it is already sold to me. It seems my dealership has a lot of pull with GM because it is one of the top sellers of Corvettes in Canada.

Anyway, point of the post is........*drumroll*

My Car Is Being Built March 7!

All of you who have pre-ordered, call and start harrassing your salespeople to see when your is being built!

I should be driving my car at some point in the week of March 21-28

 

Yeah I believe when I ordered the dealer marked it as a sold order as well.
I will have to start harassing them as well.

I took the order over from the dealership this week.....but I am not sure when the ordered it themselves.

Non already sold, pre-ordered SS's will be built at the end of March he was saying....so non ordered SS's could be like April or later to be built.

I could have one of the first SS's in Toronto!

Once more people find out the date of their car being built, post up!

 

I hope my 6months+ of waiting gets my cobalt built a bit b4 yours.

 

I keep waiting for that message on my phone that I have a build date. And hopefully, being that it is an LS, the build date is sometime in this month.

Not to mention I ordered it back in October. And God knows there were people who ordered earlier than I did.

I have been calling my saleman, an avrg. of 2 to 3 days. And last Monday I was at the dealership. I went over and talked to someone to see if the car was being built.. He cam back and said :::: Your car has not even started to get built...!

My point is I have been bugging him.. I have NOT made him get on the phone and push things... I don't realy want to do that.. Because that dealership, basicaly HOOOKKEED ME UP....

I have the LS Coupe with the 1sb package on order... So from what Banshee has been saying, what Chevy.com as on there (locate a vech.) and from what all you people are saying....

I have a feeling I'll be hearing about a build date hopefully by Friday if not beging of next week.......!

I placed the order in between Christmass and New Years!.....

So, all this is making me think a bit.. Hmmmmmmmmmm!!!

 

can you find out what number he called? I work at a chevy dealership, actually i order the cars, and i dont want to get my boss involved by asking what the phone number to "central ordering" is. If you can find out the number please post it so i can call, hopefully bump up my order, and get some more juicy info out of them.

 

Yeah, he is calling me today so I'll try. But I have a feeling it is not a number they will give out to the general public. Plus I don't want to get this guy in trouble for all the help he is giving me.

Maybe it is a Canada only number too?? I dunno
