BPS Short Throw and Aftermarket Knob

Hey gang!

I've been doing some research and want to know thoughts and opinions.

I recently invested in a Momo GTR2 shift knob knowing that I'd have to install a short throw as well. BPS currently has a sale going on their short throws and I'm ready to invest. What I want to know is:

1) Does anyone have a BPS Short throw? Are they any good? Thoughts? I really don't want to spend a TON on a short throw. I'm doing it more for aesthetics than performance.

2) IF you have one, do you have an aftermarket knob on there? Pics?

Thanks for the help guys. I searched all over the forums and couldn't find anything super helpful.

Use google instead.

Type "cobalt SS {insert topic key words here]"

you can find everything that way and it is wayyyy easier. Like to find that link I just typed in "cobalt ss bps review" and about 8 threads were the top results all from here.

PS.

I love my BPS so much that I refused to sell my LSJ with it. I kept it and put it in my LNF

Blue, One last question:

For my SC, will I NEED the cable clamp? or is there a work around without it?

I dont like the cable clamps. I used the OEM ones. You can use the OEM ones.

I haven't taken mine apart yet so I wasn't sure what mechanisms were down there. So the SC comes stock with a cable clamp and I can just replace the actual shifter?

Thanks for your help. Nice to know someone who has already done this and what I'll need for sure.

I would.
I did not like the TWM.

I have used the OTTP, BPS, TWM, and Hurst.
I only recommend BPS and OTTP. I never recommend TWM or Hurst but even hurst is above BPS.

I'm thinking really hard, because the stock is smoother than the twm idk why. Like is not continuous, it stops then it goes into gear

What didn't you like about them? Just too fidgety to deal with?
