broken into 2x!!!!!!!!!

so i went out to my car this morning to goto work only to find both of my cars had the passenger window busted out....

they got two iPods, two watches, and my backpack that they conveniently dumped all my work notes from Japan out of(along with my passport thankfully)...

the stuff I'm not worried about, its the violation you feel from this.... my Saturn had previously been broken into like two weeks before i left for Japan, this **** is unreal...(yes leaving things in my car is a no no, but its tinted so dark you can't see inside the thing especially at night)

I'm getting security cameras, it won't stop anything but I'll be able to get faces of the **** tards who do this... ahhhhhhhh **** rant over........

anyone else have these issues?

You live in Cinci, you should know better.

Plus, your car was JUST broken into and you STILL left things in it worth something to a theif?

Fool you once shame on them, fool you twice shame on you

I've never been broken into, but I've had to deal with repeated vandalisms at a place I lived at back in college. The apartment complex was conveniently located between the college bars and the dorms & frats, so any tards walking home from point A to point B would likely walk past the parking lot for my apartment. It was usually smashed mirrors, stolen gas caps, snapped off antennas. One semester when I was away on a co-op (thank god I wasn't there), some people grabbed some brickes and decided to smash in the windows, hoods, trunks, and lights of just about every car in the parking lot. I stopped parking in that lot and parked my car 2 blocks away where the city had overnight parking. Sure I had to walk, and I occasionally got a ticket for parking there for longer than 48 hours, but I didn't get vandalized anymore.

I never had anything broken into lived all over Youngstown. I moved to Lancaster Ohio, a rural city, and had my apartment ransacked while I was gone, then 1 week after, my Silverado window was smashed in with a huge rock and my radio stolen. All within living there for 9 months. I broke my lease and moved. They're lucky they did that **** when I wasn't around and when I was sleeping with AC on, because I was the biggest guy in that town that I knew of and I was ready to rip someone's neck open. You're right, the **** doesn't matter as much as the feeling you get that someone thinks they can violate your things and pull the wool over your eyes so to speak. I really wish someone would have seen who did it. Filed a police report but nothing ever happens.

well when they broke into the Saturn nothing was taken, plus i really hadn't thought about it since I've been back...

dark windows eh yeah they do tend to profile those, but I've been pulled over, at least once in both cars around work/home so they know my car and that most likely I'm going to either place...

yeah i live in Cincinnati, well a suburbish area, its one of the better in the county i live in, still not great... plus word is people are coming there from the worse parts a few miles down

That won't help. Wire a motion detector to capture motion outside, but turn on a light in your room. That way it wakes you up so that you can grab your baseball bat with rusty nails hammered through it, and your handgun incase there's more than one person out there. Then get out there and teach that pos a lesson he'll never forget. Are you in a stand your ground or a protect your castle state? If so, shoot first and ask questions later if you really want to make it easy.

Nope.
In Ohio you cannot use force to protect your property or valuables unless you are immediately occupying them when the confrontation occurs.

Basically, if he sees someone breaking into his car and shoots them its prison time.
If he is in his car and they try to break in, self defense and SYG apply.

Ah so there's no castle law there? That's a bummer. Well, looks like he needs to camp out in his car for a couple nights. Make sure to put an ipad up on the dash for everyone to see, and then when they smash the window unload the saw-off shotty he's been snuggling with the whole night

Or camp out on the roof with a .22 and pop them in the leg when they break in. I doubt they'd be stupid enough to tell the hospital/police that they got shot while breaking into a car

You won't go to prison unless you're convicted. If someone broke into your house, after braking I to your car several times and you shot them dead, yeah you'd go to trial... But in all seriousness, no jury would convict you. That's the benefit of being judged by your peers. They understand what you've been through and what you had to do to protect your family. A good friend of mine is the county judge and we spoke about the topic often

In the state of Ohio if you leave your SAFE home to go shoot someone breaking into your car then you are getting charge with homicide and going to prison. The laws do not cover defending your property, only a dwelling or vehicle you are OCCUPYING and some one is forcibily threatening.

my street has many dogs, hell we even have a dog... but around 2am everyone is asleep and ignore their dogs we get a lot of deer...

I'll just get a few cameras just in case, and no longer leave things in my car... this is just another reason i either need to move closer to work(aside from the way better area that it is) or just get things settled at work and get sent to work long term in Japan...
