Buying a cobalt

I've been looking at a couple cobalts for purchase I wanted the community thoughts on this cobalt .

A 2006 126k miles asking price is 8k. My concerns is the work done on the cobalt as it shows on the carfax. Thanks

Those are all known problems with cobalts. Blower motors suck in these cars, mine was bad on my LSJ with 93k miles and my LNF with 71k miles is starting to do the same thing. Steering column rattles so thats why it was replaced. Nothing major, just typical cobalt issues haha

And the kit itself is like $80 for OEM parts on Rock Auto.
You'll need a drill and utility knife. There's a youtube video on how to replace the thing. The AC Delco kit comes with the all the hardware you need.

When I first heard it I thought my injectors were making noise or the valves were ticking on the engine, then I turned off the blower motor and it stopped, pheww what a relief lol

turn it on to first speed, put your ear down by the vent on the center column side floor of the passenger side.

Are these reoccurring problems or once it's fixed it's fixed?

I would say recurring problems. Steering wheel columns just rattle when they are bad. blower motors are wear items etc.

The car has 127k miles, and had the blower motor was replaced at 79k (I think it was?). Likely you'll not need another blower motor as long as you own the car. Even if you do, it's 60 bucks from some place like CED or Rock Auto.

Do yourself a favor and do a leak down test or compression test on your engine if you can if your seriously considering buying this car. 126k miles is a lot of mileage and I'd be more concerned about the engines health then anything else....
