CAI = better overall hp gain at higher RPM
SRI = better throttle response + more torque at lower RPM

SRI is bad for hot climates

It's perfect for us northerners during the winter though

its not too bad, i was at the track and switched from CAI to SRI, and i ran the same times both times. actually the sri might have been like .03 faster, but you never know. i did like 5 runs each. and i have an automatic so i'm consistent. btw this was in 110 degree weather at the track nearby my town in -texas-

lol...i ran slow. in winter with like 1 less mod, i ran 10.4 on the 1/8, and in the 110 degree weather, with the track being all sticky b/c the heat melted it, i ran consistent 10.80's.

now this is with my focus, i never took my cobalt to the track.
the focus is an automatic, zx3, with the 2.3 engine(145hp)

SRI = short ran intake. Basically it stays on top of the engine rather than piping down into the car.
