Car broken into :(

My baby got broked into last night around 3am. A couple of my neighbors heard the whole thing when it happened.

What they said was some people in a car with a fart can revved real loud and broke my passenger window. After that they popped the hood and tried to hotwire it. Then my alarm went off and they bolted.

The funny thing is the idiots left fingerprints all over the car and the dusters are coming to get them.

I am telling you people are so envious of our cars. Every single day i drive someone is trying to race me or someone is asking me about it.

I will have pics up in about 3 hours.

The only damage to it was the left pasenger window broken. And a completly destroyed ECU/fusebox.

Gotta love Houston. I remember they broke in my mom's car once and stole the floormats, one headrest, and the owner's manual. Not the smartest cookies in the jar...especially when my car was right next to hers with a Discman and an mp3 player right in the glovebox.

Haha, awesome! I'm from here, but I lived in Houston for a year and a couple summers between school.

If you guys are up here and bored, we're thinking about having a Cobalt meet at Dave & Buster's at the Waterfront in Homestead on Saturday.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope they get those jerks.

Fortunately I have never had my car tampered with. Yet.

One thing I must say, at least the built in car alarm worked. Thats what scared them off. Has anyone ever heard it? Is it the same as when you dry to unlock the car from the outside when the windows are down?

should be that...if you lock the car with the remote and someone unlocks it fro the inside then the alarm goes off.

I locked my two brothers inside once and they unlocked and opened the door and the alarm went off. It sounds just like the panic alarm. A lot of honking and lights flashing. It was pretty funny though.

You should possibly consider spending the money for Lo jack. If your car gets stolen its trackable.... u can also get lojack set up to where if ur car is started or moved without the key and smart card thing itll call you on your phone or send u a text message. Some insurance companies give u a discount for it too...

They metal? Finding some way to hook them up to a live source of electricity would definitely be a theft deterrant...
