Carbon Fiber!
Do we have any companies working on carbon fiber parts? Like door panels, trunk lids, that flimbsy ass spoiler, and maybe a roof like GM Racing's. I'm getting involved in SCCA and I'm looking to drop some weight. I'm aware we have a carbon fiber hood, but its got a scoop on it - yuck.
By the way, this is a performance/general question, not appearance, therefore posted in the correct forum.

I mean it wouldn't even be that hard for a company to make one. That carbon fiber hood with functional scoop is way more complex then a door panel or trunk lid....

The company that makes the stuff for the Grand-AM Cup cars is:
Crawford Composites
(704)483-8726
ccomposites@bellsouth.net
I e-mailed them a while back and they said they make a hood, front lip with brake ducts, roof, deck lid and spoiler. They said they had to get authorized to make them through GM and they would set the pricing. I asked them for pricing and haven't heard anything back (maybe a month ago), since I don't have my car yet I didn't care too much. Give them a call and see what they say. The thing I was interested in was the spoiler, that flimsy thing distracts me.
