Changing the shift boot
you dont say what cobalt you have. Remove knob. replace boot. replace knob. U r done.
on M 35, remove top cap, drill a hole if no screw, tap, add screw and use a 3 jaw puller to remove knob. pita.

You don't need to remove the console. Pop out the cup holder. Reach your fingers back and pop out the boot. Then do what John told you to get the knob off the shifter.

I'm not sure wtf you just said there........... but no, the console does not need to come out. I've done it twice, John's done it 100 times. There is a how to with pictures on the site too. Take a look at them.
lol i meant some people told me to take out the console sorry miss spelled it before, But il do what you said i appreciate it thanks man. Also one more question the boost gauge that comes on the cobalt when u buy is gone. Do i have to put the same original gauge back on or can i put a different one on?
