Cheapest gm intake
Cheapest gm intake
I was wondering where the best deal on the gmpp intake is. The best I could find was on createnginedepot for 267.95. That is still more then I wanna pay, so does anyone know where I can find if for cheaper? Thanks.

Here's something to make you feel better....I wanted the GMPP Intake and was waiting for its' release in September. GMPartsDirect or Crateenginedepot wasn't able to get it (I called) when it was first released so I ended up paying $327 + tax to my local Chevy dealer. I give credit to the parts guy that was able to get it -- probably one of the first sold on this round.

75$ at most
5ft of both 3/4 and I think other is like 3/16th or somthing radiaotr hoses
3 90* copper elbows and 1 copper barb to move the radiator overflow to the left of engine
6 medium hose clamps and 2 small hose clamps
2 45* and 1 22*, you'll have to cut 1 45* to drop it lower so it clears the hood, and the 22* can be cut so it doesn't go all the way into the filter
3 hose connectors
6 hose clamps
And maybe 2-4 hours (depends on if you take your time) to relocate radiator overflow, cut hole for maf sensor, and install piping
noone likes my idea, but I have the loudest intake in the United States, and if anyone wants to challenge that I'll meet up with ya

Ohh and Heatsoak isn't a problem thanks to the fact that we have aftercoolers (once it gets into SC it'll heat up anyway the whole point of the cooler is to get temps down to ambient) but each his own
Thank you I like the way the intake looks, but I LOVE the sound, I have stock exhaust (3"cat + downpipe) and the exhaust is a bit louder but enough to hear it, but the intake you can hear far and wide haha.
both from pep boys, or any other autoparts store. Look in the ricer section
. and it's plastic tubing and rubber couplings, the plastic gets rid of heat pretty quickly, and the rubber coupling give you a little wiggle room.

Even though many ragged on me I've proven all there theories wrong (Heat soak didn't affect me as I raced a buddy of mine and I used to have close to a car length ahead, now I'm past a car length. That's not bearings it's belt squeal. And I don't throw codes [ I also have hptuners so my tune probably prevents that ]
