I'll usually use Armor All but won't use it on the steering wheel or shifter. THen your hands get full of it everytime you drive

i just use windex on the plastic stuff. I've never had to clean the leather. And i figure plastic doesn't need armor all haha

armor all has a chemical that dries out plastic and causes it to crack....

I second that, armor all also discolors plastic. think of it this way. putting cooking oil all over you interior and leaving it in the sun where it reaches temperatures of up to 150F.

Just use a good cleaner like "spray nine" or even windex.

unless i have actual dirt that needs to be cleaned i dont use anything, if its just all dusty and crap i have this cool little duster i use, just sweep everything off. its good too because armor all not only being bad for your interior also makes it collect more dust i think. as for the leather you should be cleaing it, but not with armor all. a good rule of thumb is ya get what ya pay for. so get some good conditioner wipes for your seats. maybe maguires or something. windex has ammonia in it and i am pretty sure that is not good for plastic either. so when i clean my interior all i need to do is dust the dash, wipe the seats, vacumm, and then hit any dirty spots with a wet rag (maybe a little soapy) and i am done

There was a time in the 80s that Armor All did dry out platics, causing them to crack. However this is no longer the case.

Regardless as to what you use, you want to use a water based product which is usually a white milky color, to prevent drying out your dash.

Oh yes on the leather I use meguiars leather wipes, works excellent. I was just wondering about the plastic dash and whatnot. Honestly I hate the non flat surface dash...wish GM had not went so cheaply with the plastics...I would honestly much rather have interior plastic that the cavy's had...but oh well.

Agreed, thats the only thing I do not like about the car is the interior. Overall loving every minute of it though.

Armor All also causes your windows to get a film on them. When the sun heats up your interior it makes it dry it out and the armor all gets onto your windshild, and its a pain in the @$$ to get it all off the windows. We have had many cars come in when the owner's used that crap and it takes quite a bit of time to get it all off.

I use Extra Duty as a pre-cleaner to get all the dirt off and then Super Shine as a protectant for the dash and leather. I get these through the dealership, so i'm not sure if they are in any stores. But for stuff you can get at the store, i would use Lexar for the leather or Vinylex for the dash.

For the windows i use Castle's Streak Proof Glass Cleaner.

Lemmi know if you need any other information on products to use.

The best stuff I found was that turtle wax interior stuff in the spray bottle. Light/Bright green bottle. I forgot what the name of it was....I lost it.

I either use a California Duster or a damp chamois. (Sham-ee) I try to stay away from using chemical-based solutions and water seems to work great anyway.

Though for stains in the carpet and upholstery I use Tuff Stuff. Works great.

Meguiar's Professional #39 heavy duty vinyl cleaner, followed by Meguiar's #40 vinyl & rubber treatment. Nice & shiny, without the greasy feel. It has UV protection too. I use an Absorber mini for the windows. Blu Coral Dri-Clean for the carpet (great new car smell, will get out any stain I have encountered).
