Cluster ?s

Well didnt know where to post this but is the cluster all part of the computer? I mean can I put any cluster in the car and it keep all my stuff or will it have different info? I think they can be swapped between cars with no prob. but wanted to check first.

I believe that everything is controlled by the computer, so no matter what cluster is plugged in, the info will be the same.

i think everything is controlled by the computer however installing say a ss cluster into a ls cobalt will possibly make your reading be off if they are calibrated differently. The cluster doesnt know or compute anything it just takes orders from the computer and displays it. it is just calibrated to move the amount that it needs to so that the information displayed it what the computer wants it to show.
