happens anywhere and every where. on the street or at the strip. This guy if he was going to street race he should have done it on a abandon road. He should get 15 years to life to killing 5 people. Even if he doesnt remember it. Where is the motorcycle guy he should get some jail time to.
On a side note if you are going to street race do it on a abandon high way and make sure you aint going through stop lights

Edit: Just read the last line and realized that you're a street racer, so it doesn't surprise me that you would have a retarded argument like that...
THIS is why street racing is ******* stupid. And anyone who can read stories like this and still go out and do it is a retard.
For you, the willing participant, yes, there is always going to be the element of danger. But I can't remember the last time a family of 4 in a minivan pulled out in front of someone at the drag strip or Road America...

It's not uncommon to lose a block of memory during a traumatic event or even just the force of hitting his head, which I'm sure he did. He did hit a van doing 100mph after all...
Know hold on there scooter. just like i tell cops that try and pull me over. Whats the sense of makin a car go 160 if the most you can ever go is 70. And of course for this is where street racing began. Why go 160 when you can go head to head with another car who maybe can go 160 and see whose faster. Point is, dont mak either A. A speed limit, or B. a car that can go more than twice the speed limit. Whats the sense of having a fast car if you never will use the thing at least to hlaf of its potential? Why own a hammer if your never going to build anything?
One day on a road track will cost you $400-$1000, which is certainly a big entry price, but when you compare it to my state's $500 minimum fine for street racing (plus court fees, plus lawyer costs, plus losing your license, plus fees for having your car towed, plus the license reinstatement fee (another $500), plus mandatory jail time, plus... well you get the point I hope) and then the fact that you could go to jail for 5, 10, 15 years or more and have to live with the fact that you killed or maimed innocent people, which is really the cheaper option?
A day at the drag strip can cost as little as $40.
A day autocrossing can cost as little as $20.
Your argument is incredibly juvenile. ANY car on the road today could easily go double the speed limit of just about any road in America.
Sucks that happened. I know I do my share of street racing and taking off, but nothing ever even near 135, that's insane. I didn't think you could live hitting something at 135 in a cobalt.
Lists of fail:
Going 135
Racing through intersections
Racing a bike
Traffic around you

man i hate reading stuff like this its sad, it sucks to see that some people are this stupid in the world, my thoughts and prays go out to the ones lifes that were taken in this accident, and to the ones that lost them,, this kid only got 15yrs. thats 3yrs per persons death, that doesnt seem right to me and he's eligable for parole after half his term is lived, or should of gotten more, and at least should have no parole, and when he get out this guys should never be aloud to drive a automobile ever again. once again my thoughts and pray go out to the ones lost in this and the ones that lost them. and to any one that has lost a loved one in an accident like this
