Cobalt Radiator Differences

Hey guys, I'm new here. Don't have a Cobalt but I'm planning on using a radiator from one in my S10. I'm one of those crazy LN2 people, and I want to make sure my built engine has a good cooling system. Luckily, it almost drops in to the factory radiator support.

I've noticed different part numbers for radiators based on engine/trim level. Are there many differences between them? The radiator I am using for mock up came out of a normal sedan, not sure year/trim. I was thinking about using one of these: https://www.mishimoto.com/chevrolet-...tor-05-10.html with the single fan if possible, unless the dual fan setup is lighter (doubt it). Air flow won't be an issue, the engine bay is going to be pretty bare (manual steering, brakes, no AC, etc.) Added some pics for reference (engine in pic is junk, building a 98+ motor for it, and I'm probably going to mod the support so the radiator fits inside of it.) What do you all think?

The SS trimmed radiators are thicker and do not have trans cooler connections. So if you're running an external trans cooler (assuming automatic) then running that Mishimoto rad should be great even with a single fan.

Thanks for the reply. I'm using a Borg Warner T5 manual transmission so I very much prefer not to have a cooler in the radiator. I appreciate the information.
