Since 1961 actually..

Not a good picture of the lights but you can tell that they are four circles.

On a side note.. I'm guessing only the outside lights light up, the insides just being reverse/reflectors correct?

Thanks! I thought that was just the reflectors reflecting the flash back... I hope you're right though!

Actually, isnt the G35 based off the Nissan 350Z, not the Skyline? Or am i thinking of a different car?

The infinity G35 IS called the Nissan Skyline in Japan (Japan not having the infiniti line). They are making a new skyline supercar in 2007 or so, lots of power i hear too. As for the G35 or Japanese Skyline now, I don't consider them worthy of the name, underpowered and under-aspirated for such. The last real skyline died in 2001, hopefully they are making a new R35

Exactly. And when the R35 Skyline comes here in a few years, it will be called a Nissan Skyline, but still look almost the same as the G35

From what have have read and pictures i have seen, the G35 is to a 350z as a cav is to a sunfire.

So.... what you guys are saying is that over seas they call the G35 a skyline, so am i correct in saying that a G35 is a cousin to the 350z?

Yeah the G35 is the sister car to the 350z like the camaro/firebird, cavy/sunfire, etc etc deal.

In japan the G35 is the Skyline Coupe I believe and when they do get the Skyline here I think it's basically going to be a Turbocharged G35 with some suspension components upgraded...

400 hp GTO is a better deal.

the vette has had those round style tail lights since 1961, all other years before that were the banana style lights, all though it may be possible that a 1960 vette could have the round lights dur to an early model year change over......but ive never heard of that.....kinda like the 1999 silverado some had the 1993-1998 look while others had the 1999-2002

last i read the 2007 g35 is going to have the skyline as an option. its going to be badged as the nissan g35 skyline. it will look almost the same as a regular g35 the front air dam is the only diff defference. they are thinking about redoing the rear end to look like a skyline(the lights) the g35 skyline will aslo include nissans AWD components found in r32 sand r34s

i know people who change the lights and emblems to resemble different cars. i have a friend who had a stock integra. and worked on it and worked on it. and eventually he made it into a type-R all the same parts and specs as the ones from japan. except left hand drive. and he put all the same type-R emblems and honda instead of acura and even the same seats that come in a type-R. and i've seen someone put a skyline emblem on a G35 but never made it to spec as a real G35. just people messing around. check the steering wheel next time. most people hardly change the steering wheel. and sometimes the dash. but usually the dash/gauges are the first to go. i've seen a car with the altezza emblems on the car which is a is300 and yet when i checked the inside the steering had the lexus symbol on it. so it wasn't a real altezza. just people change the looks of the cars to resemble the original name they began with.

USA JAPAN
350Z = Fairlady Z
G35 = Skyline

The G35 and 350Z are rebadges of the same car, they use the same drivetrain, frame etc..much like the Camaro and Firebird, or Cavalier and Sunfire.

Unfortunately, you sir are wrong. The inner lights w/ the reverses in them are only that, reverse lights and the red is a reflector. It lights up like that as a reaction to the flash. there is a thread here about someone modding it to light up w/ all four tho.
