um, wasn't this obvious w/ the cancellation of the redline?
likely chevy will also follow saturn in its next venture by creating something similar to the Astra and using the same engine platforms... if it does, the 2.0 is no more as well, in favor of a 1.8T

I agree, the aftermarket will not die with the cancelation, it will take time for it to die completely!. If this was truely the case, the SRT-4 aftermarket would be dead, which it is not. I could list others, like the old Integra Type-R, the aftermarket isn't dead for that car either. Plus lets face it, the aftermarket for the SS/SC is fairly small and I don't forsee it getting much better anyways. As far as price reductions, if anything they will go up!
i was orignally gunna wait till 08 to buy a ss/sc but as soon as i saw the delettion on the GM site, the weekend i went and ordered a 07 laser blue ss/sc (g85) , always turned my head when i saw 1 pass by and i always wanted 1, so i was like im not taking any chances
VERY HAPPY NOW

nicee nice to meet u, everyday feels longer man, i cant wait lol, i already found out that grigs on this site lives like 2 houses down from me and some other guy around here, well do 1 of those kenndy common meets or w.e else that sounds good
i have a feeling this is good for me. because the sport coupe has the 2.4 market, and im sure those sales will take off now that the SC is gone, which means people will want to get their 2.4 moving like a sc should. so lets just hope they use the same engine instead of dropping a different one in there lol
chevy is stupid they let the mustang win the market for the cheap v8 platform and rolling over dead to the srt-4 which is coming back. instead they focus on a 5 door hearse and the solstice and redline that have no practciality at all and are 30,000++++ for a car that was pieced together using other vehicles parts. I dont know how chevy isn't bankrupt the aveo, silverdao.and cobalt are the cars they survive with even though i think i heard they dont make money off the balt. The ss/sc didnt thrive because it was half fasted not enough hp **** clutch axels and after 300 hp everything needs replacing. GM dropped the ball but who cares i love my car and will have it forever!!! Maybe gm and chevy will get smart in the future. And they better hope the camero is a hit or there fucked
Well for one, the Camaro will be a fairley high priced car. I don't remember the exact price but I think I remember the base price will be about $29,000 so not everyone will be able to jump into one.
