Cobalt SS/SC vs Audi TT Coupe

My friend is gettin the Audi 1.8 TT and he swears he gonna smoke me. What you guys think? I think the car has around 240 HP, but thats probly not whp. Its AWD too so less whp. If he puts a chip in, I probly dont have a chance right?

Im a big TT fan and with your mods unfortunatly for your buddy you will pull him fosho espically if its from a roll. Get some pics/vids up if you do race with him.

Quaife has something in the works for us, but its somewhere in the realm of "prohibitively expensive": https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/drivetrain-79/quaife-6-speed-conversion-fgp-f35-5-speed-manual-transmission-50610/

Yea these Audi's are nice looking and have alot of features, but they dont have much power, you also have to keep in mind they weigh 3000+ pounds. Just like every other European car they are overpriced, heavy, and underpowered.

lol you all sleep on the audis....By far better built cars and our cars cant even compete to their style and tuning options...Neway a stock tt the 1.8T is 225hp to the crank and yes you will beat him from a dig or a roll either way ive walked all over my dads 2006 audi tt.....Now my moms a3 2.0 t gives me a little better run but i still walked it when i was stock....Audis gear ratios arent built like our cars they have a much smoother shifting platfrom where its actually comfortable to drive it instead of us like we feel like we are always racing

There were 2 versions of the TT, if it has 1 tailpipe it's low boost, has 180HP (crank) and runs 0-60 in 7.1 seconds...if its the dual exhaust it's the hi-boost model and it has 225HP and runs 0-60 in about 6.4 seconds...so a bit slower then a stock SS/SC.

You will win.

Cobalt SS/SC Curb Weight : 2991lbs
Audi TT 180hp FWD : 3186lbs 225hp Quattro(AWD) : 3384

Cobalt SS/SC HP (Factory rated) : 205hp@5600rpm 200 ft-lbs@4400rpm

Yeah it's called Quattro AWD. Very few cars (with all else being somewhat equal) on the planet will hang in the twisties with a Quattro. There is a reason why Audi/VW owned WRC before the WRX hit the scene.

As far as the weight: http://www.chevrolet.com/cobalt/specifications/
Chevy's website says the coupe weighs 2,681 pounds, I dont know if this is for the SS or the base model though. It should be noted the other places like Yahoo say it is 2,991 pounds. This is a big difference. Who is right and why is the rating so different?

I would like to try. Lemme get some springs and i'll chase an audi through any corner. I doubt i'll out-corner, but I'll keep up like a ************.

Correct me if im wrong but arent there 3 types of TT's not 2, 1.8 = walk it, 2.0 = not sure but im sure we can take it, then the 3.2 or 3.5 = which not sure how fast it is but it might be able to beat us...so u gotta be careful when u pull up to one, but the new TTs are gunna be a bit faster they are boosting them all up so that even the lowest end should take us now...only one way to find out tho
