can some body tell me how to stop the cobalt from cuting out at 100 mph

i would love to go faster then what the cobalt ss s/c tops out at, the more speed i go at, the more adrenaline rushi get, its great.

 

no ones ever made it to 160, if ur wondering why is doesn't go any faster.

IF the SS/SC could make it to 160 (which currently it can't) it wouldn't 'cut out' because there is no governor.

 

Mine will do 147 and thats it , took a while to get the last 6-7 MPH out of it .
At that speed , tach was pushing red line . They also get a little light at that speed . I wouldnt have wanted to keep it there .

 

Ive hit 160......... Sometimes it shuts down at 140 thought, and throws a code but if no code then it will go all teh way to 160 it takes about 10 miles but it gets up there 150 to 160 is a very slow climb

I did 155 today showing a guy who owns an srt 4 the car can. I woulda went to 160 but it takes to much effort and road going from 150-160. Plus tires I have on right now aren't rated for that kinda speed to dangerous to keep doing it but I wanted to prove something to the srt-4 owner.

 

10 miles!?!? damn sucks to have shitty gearing....or something! thats a slow ass climb.....the SC must become damn parasitic that high in the top end.

 

it doesn't get anywhere anywhere near the tach at 147 mph more like 5300~rpm here's the video to prove that inside my car.. and they do not feel light at that speed. it feels the same at 145+mph as it does at 70mph

Like selfinfliction has said and his video shows 145mph is easily achieveable and the car is no where near redline. I myself have held my car at a steady 148-149mph and like he also said it feels very stable.

 

I you were to remove the wing and add a aerodynamic underside to the car...

you'll need to put a chip in it to remove the governor... i'm not sure if there are any out right now though

 

if you would have got the sport package with your cobalt it wouldnt cut out til like 140.
