Cobalts.... for tall people?
Cobalts.... for tall people?
I'm 5'7 and if i set the seat as high as it goes i'm still quite a ways away from hitting the roof.... Whos the tallest person in a cobalt here and how comfortable are you?
I'm 6'-0" with a 34 inseam...
I have the seat cracnked allll the way down, and I only have 1.5" of space between my head and the headliner. I have to keep my hair short of it drives me nutty...
That said... I don't like sitting back ( reclined ) in the seat due to trying to keep my arms slightly bent. I prefer to have myeslf a little closer to the pedals, so it gets a bit tedious to get the position right.
I wish the car had a telescoping wheel... that would make MY life a lot easier.

I'm 6'7 and I agree on the Telescoping wheel. If I have my seat at a comfortable ammount of recline to reach the wheel I have to slouch a bit.
Honestly though.. I don't fit in much of anything. The new GTI is pretty good though. So was my friends 89 Celica
I've come to accept that nothing will work so I just make it work.
You should see me trying to fly...

Its kinda odd that GM put in a lift crank on the seat. I put it up all the way and i felt like i was in a childs car seat. not to mention what other people would think looking over at me and my seat is alot higher than my passenger. i'm sure someone with a kinky gf would appreciate that LOL

Yeah, I've not found many "sports cars" that i fit in well.
I came close to a Mini Cooper S just beacsue I fit in it so well.
The GTI ( last gen ) was ok to fit in, and the WRX was iffy. The RSX-S fit nice, but you HAVE to sit back in that...lol
The new GTI's aren't bad either. I actually really like those cars as far as comfort.
I also wish the Recaros were std on the SS/SC. Those area a bit more comfortable from waht I've found.

well I'm 6,6 and have the recaros and if you adjust the lumbar, or whatever its called, like ur supposed to when doin some serious driven then there's no problem with headroom. just jack the seat all the way down so it more of a bucket

6'1 here, no issues, but I recline the seat slightly. My biggest issue is trying to get my boat-sized shoes out of the door when I get out. I always get them wedged in between the bottom of the door and the floor panel. hehe.

I'm 6'2-6'3 adn around 270 lbs and I have no problem with headroom..Legroom if kinda iffy.. I drive with the seat all the way down, reclined a bit, and almost all teh way back..I guess my legs are too long, cuz I always hit my knees on the dash..
damn we got some tall people on this board....kenny is the 6 foot 5 ish range...he fits fine in the pass. seat and has driven it before and hasnt complained....the cavalier on the other hand he hates...wayyyy small
I'm 6'1 and a little over 300 lbs and I have no problems fiting in my car, I actually have the keep the seat forward a couple of notches. I agree with those one here that say the cobalt needs a telescoping steering wheel it is way to far away in relation to where the driver sits comfortably in the seat.

I agree with that also, my arms get tired from reaching up to the steering wheel and if I move my seat up then my legs are cramped. o well.
later
