Cobra radar setups

I am at a never ending task of figuring out how I want my radar setup. I want to put it in the drivers side corner and hide the cord...but again I can't decide. I know there is a how to put I wanna see how others have it setup. Pics would be best!

Many mid-2000's Mazdas have this option, it is sick! I just have mine in the center of the windshield, but first you should worry about getting a good radar. I got a ticket with my cobra and quickly switched to an escort

Buddy has an escort. They we're doing to trade in deal. If you had any old radar detector you got like $40 off or something.

Escort or Valentine I'd say.

This, I have the Escort Passport 8500 X50, great radar but if I could do it again I would go with a Valentine. With exception to a >$1000 radar/laser jammer the Valentine is the best out there.

I think the OP's question is more on where to put them vs what to get lol

I'm interested in responses on what to get as well as where to put, had an old whistler in my old car and it saved me several times.

I hard wired mine into the sunroof, ran wires above the headliner and over the the top corner of my driver side part of the windshield. this way shuts off and turns on with car and not very noticeable by others not in the car.

Yeah radars are really only good in where cops run radar, so many other alternatives now that you got to look out for like vascar, etc... I'd know

Would be easier to use the windshield wiper fuse.
Mines on the upper right corner by the pillar at the top. Ran the wire up the pillar and into the headliner. I'll take a pic Tom.

Go look into Invisicord and C6 Corvette Visor Mounts for Escort and Valentine. I installed my Escort in my C6 by using the Visor Mount and then ran the Inviscord into the back of the auto dimming mirror. If you have a powered mirror in your Cobalt, you can easily tap into there for your power source.

I tapped into a switched wire behind the left side access panel for the ground, and then pulled the power off the 12v accessory plug feed that's over there. I ran the wire up towards the boost gauge pillar, then over to the middle of the windshield by shoving the wire in the space that goes across the dashboard, right in front of the defrost air vents... No pictures but you get the point... I did the same for my gps. Oh and I hardwired one of those splitters that gives you 2 cig. plugs so I didn't have to destroy my gps and radar power cords.
