I like when you drive by people and they stare and then once your past them you see them completely turning their head around to look again....gotta love the "I love that color" comments too

 

i just got my new tires put on and there was an undercover cop parked right next to me, leaning against his car, when i walked out of the store.... he asked me what kind of car it was and told me it was really clean... that was pretty sweet... another cool one was a silver corvette fought through traffic to catch up to me to give me a

 

Standard drive through window "Hey! nice car!" - "love your car!" type deal

cutest one was i was at a gas station filling up and this truck was on the other side, a dad with his lil son (probably 6-7 years old) and the kid points over at his dad and says "look ! a race car!" and i just smiled. the kid did a walk around of my car and said "very nice car!" and ran back to his dad. The dad laughed and said "that is a good lookin car!" i said thanks waved at the kid and drove off

 

Every time i get pulled over (3 timew now) the cop goes to the back of the car only to turn arround and walk back up to ask me what im driving. Debadging FTW!

Seems like your end goal is pretty clear, good choice for internals. Not big on domestic vehicles but the Cobalt is sharp looking.

Same here. I've had a dozen people compliment the car and then ask "What kind of car is that?". Its like no one knows what a Cobalt is. But at least the next time they see one, they'll know.

last summer on random roads i'd get thumbs up from other performance chevrolet car drivers (cameros and vetts).

People always do stare...and do double takes. it's nice.

 

I get "nice car" daily. I also get a lot of "what's that color called, it's awesome."

My favorite of all time was these two kids walking down the walk, they were probably 6 or 7, and the boy goes "WHOA!!!!! LOOK AT THAT!!!" as he hits the girl on her shoulder and she sees my car and goes "WHOA!!!! THAT'S SO COOL!!" Honestly those are the best because kids don't know about patronizing, making conversation, or just being nice, they react to what they see in an honest way. If 7 year old kids think my car is cool, then it's good enough for me.

Today I got one from a guy in a huge jacked up truck whom I thought for sure would be a dick, but he says "sweet ride man" and then he gives me the thumbs up and speeds off.

i have to many stories to list but the best was prob last weekend

driving home from HIN in boston i flew by i limo at wot, well pulled into a rest stop and as we got back on the highway passed it again but this time about 5 very good looking girls were staring at my car out the window. so i kept pace for about 5 mins, got a few comments on the car and got a few other things out of it...

 

couldnt have gotten too many "other things" out of it if you were in a seperate car

 

i was in gainesville one day sitting at a redlight and i had 2 guys in a mustang gt fly up beside me and tell me they loved my car its sweet looking, when the light turned green they both give me the thumbs up and tell me hope to see me at the track and then they go on down the road. blew my mind was expect quite the opposite.

 

I was driving in a highway (QEW) on the slow-lane (right-most) and i noticed one car trying to drive side-by-side with me around (95 kh/hr) and i'm trying to avoid it but then i just look at them and there were a girl at the back and driver with another and looking at me and gave me a "thumbs-up" while looking at my car

 

Best one I've gotten, besides the nice looking car thing, is

"That's a Cobalt?!?!"?

i dont know how he got this, but on a delivery i was driving up to this dudes house and when i got out he was like nice cobalt...that body kit makes it look like a porsche

 

I can sort of see why he would say that.... in your sig if you cover the rest of your car with your hand, the front bumper could possibly have that look... probably because of the large cutout in the center

 

yesterday i had a guy in the new wrx with what it sounded like a blow off and a intake roll by me and i just gunned it and he came up next to me damn man that thing sounds wicked i was like thanks....It was one of those guys that doesnt really hang out with the car people in town so i said the same back to him and every stop light he kept giving me damn i really like that car and we both were just exchanging compliments....Nice guy

 

best compliment i got so far was this weekend 5-5-07. went and entered local show and brought home peoples choice trophy

 

I live back in the country a ways, and there's a mom and pop gas station in front of my neighborhood. One of those "everybody knows your name" kinda places. Anyway, I was comming out one night and this older guy (mid 50's) pulled in in a black 69 Camaro SS and parked next to me, and got out and was looking at my car. I complimented his car first, and he started talking to me about my car wanting to see the engine and the interior. He seemed impressed. I love when somebody can appreciate the Four-Cylinder Generation like that. I see him driving around a lot now. He gets the nod. Glad I've never been next to him. That Camaro would blow me out the water, haha.

My favorite compliment was when I just got my intake put on and a crotch rocket pulled next to me and I gave her hell. He look over at me when we were going about 25mph and he gave me the thumbs up. We were at the next stop light and he said man that's an awesome ride man. How much hp do you have?

Another one I get is "man that's a beautiful car, does it run as good as it looks"?

 

I get that a lot. The kids love the car and CT loves the keeids!.
