Cooldown Time

It dose not get that cold that often here in Southern WI but the next 3 days will be up to -24F. If I just go outside and start it how often should I do this? Or will it just get real cold again very fast. I can drive it around the block a few time until coolent goes to 180 each time I go start it.

Why do you want to do this???
And yes, these 4bangers cool down very fast

We just had record breaking temps here in northwestern ontairo @ -52 degrees CELCIUS . I do not have a block heater anymore, and my l61 starts like a champ without even a hicup ( actually amazing, lol everyone els had block heater and battery chargers and still no dice. I get braging right for as long as i own this car ) and yes, a catless downpipe into a magnaflow was VERY loud

So i dont know what you are worried about, unless your on e85. Inwhich case park it for the winter anyways

I'm still confused here... Are you just started it for fun, warming it up, and then turning it off again?

Or just concerned on getting it to start so you can then drive it?

I think he's just paranoid the extreme cold is going break his car. best thing to do is put a battery tender on it and not start the car unless you are going to actually drive it.

Remember to give your car tons of fibre and protein. Make sure it's poops are normal for the first few days.

For real though I let my car sit 4-5 mnths over the first winter. All I did was disconnect the battery. It started back up like a champ.
