couple newby questions

ok i just picked up an 06 cobalt ss/sc. i just have a couple questions about it. the breakdown that the dealer showed me said that it has heated seats. the button for the heated seats isn't where it should be(by the airbag display). would it be somewhere else? also i have the recaro seats, did those still come with heated seats?

and then my second set of questions is, the "up-shift" light doesn't come on at anytime when i am driving? do i have to do anything special to turn it on? sorry for all of these questions but like i said the car is new to me so i am still trying to figure it out. thanks for all the help.

if you give us the vin one of us should be able to look up the options list for ya but no as far as i know factory heated seat switches were by the hvac controls. and the up-shift light many people have been having issues with this and basically have come to the conclusion of it it comes on great if not oh well lol.

The upshift light on the SS S/C is for Stage 3 to indicate high-octane mode, so it's disabled normally (you don't really need it, stock shift point is just before redline anyway). I don't know about the heated seats... shoot the VIN out to the thread and someone will run it.

I dont think the recaros come with the heated seats. If they do have it, it would be under the radio. like an egg shaped switch. I just stopped listening to my dealer, they didnt know what a supercharger was....

the recaros don't come with heated seats. if you had the heated seats, the buttons are on each side of the passenger airbag light.

I have a 2006 SS/SC without the G85 package, and no heated seats.

obviously the build sheets can have flaws which is why the only way to be sure is to double check the window sticker or the little silver sticker under the trunk's carpet and look for the code that says if he has heated seats or not.

Condescending, no. Contradicting, yes.

Condescending means acting in a superior or holier-than-thou manner toward someone.
Contradicting means (in this case) two sets of information that are both supposedly correct, but are in direct opposition to each other.

And I have G85 w/heated seats in my '07. It's possible on an '07 (dunno about the '06 models) to have regular seats and the LSD.

I had after market heated seats put in my car at the dealer when I bought my cobalt, the switch for mine is on the door side of each seat in the front of the plastic part just below the fabric (I had heat put in the cloth seats because I have a dog and didn't want ruined leather seats in my car) maybe you have after market heaters?
