CSS.net decal placement?
CSS.net decal placement?
ok i got the decal from css.net in and judging by the side that has sticky stuff on it im guessing it goes on the outside....id have thought it went on the inside....anyone know?
Ok for real. The decal does not go on the inside of the window. The sticky part binds to the glass on the outside. Which ever side is sticky should not be the side that will be shown on your car. The sticky side should also be slightly fadded compared to the other side.
If you want to do a really good job and have no air bubbles stuck underneat take the backing off and expose the sticky part.
Get a spray bottle filled with water and spray the sticky part and also spray the location of where you are intalling it.
Then position it. You will notice that its not sticking. This is a good time to get it exactly where you want it.
No its not screwed up, you just need to squeegee the water starting in the middle. After several passes with a plastic spatuala it will be stuck to your car.
If you want things to go a little faster you can also use a heat gun after several passes with your spatualla/squeegee. Warm it up just a little, then squeegee it some more. remove the film on the front and voila, professionally installed decal!!
This also works on any other decal. oh i forgot you will want to clean the area where you are putting it with some rubbing alcohol so you dont get any dirt/contamination underneat the sticker.
Disclaimer: i'm not responsible if you screw up or if all the sudden the sky darkens and a huge windstorm comes up and makes it flys out of your hand and it sticks to your nose.

yes, you peel the backing paper off, then place the decal on the surface which should be cleaned with alcohol if handy for best results and then stick it on, rub your hand over the decal for a few seconds and peel the transfer tape off and your good to go.
