D-side headlight now with condensation.
D-side headlight now with condensation.
It just happened early today. Any ideas of the cause? It's fogged at the lower part. And no i'm not interested in black headlights at the moment lol. This is an actual OEM/GM headlight which bugs me as to why it would do this so early. So much for GM quality.
Op, to fix this is simple. Take out your headlight and pull out all the bulbs and headlight harness. Take a hairdryer and have it blowing air on low heat through where the low beam bulb goes. You should feel air blowing out where the turn signal bulb is supposed to go. Let it sit like that for like 10 mins, this should get all the moisture out. After that go to autozone and buy some black sealant. Should be around where they keep the rtv gasket maker stuff.
Take that stuff andput it around where your headlight lenses connects to the headlight (Youl see the gray sealant that gm uses. ) just try to make sure you seal it good so no air or water can get in.
Whole process takes like a half hour and of u do it right it wi be good forever pretty much.
As your vehicle is a 2010, it is likely still within the 3 year/36,000 mile Bumper-to-Bumper warranty (I can get you more information on your vehicle's specific time/mileage parameters with the last 8 digits of your VIN). I see that Dart_SI put up a great fix for this as well. If you were to visit your dealer for this, please be sure to let me know!

Passenger headlight replaced 5k ago under warranty for moisture. Just today I noticed my driver headlight has the same issue. Got it cleaned up under warranty for free @ 59,988km, 12kms to loseing the bumper to bumper! This was also out of town not my usual chevy dealer. They were good about it no hassle. Now if the problem re-appears I have paper proof of prior issues
