right. and at that point, nothing is the same as the original production motor.

you can do that to any motor if you replace every single component.

Technically yes...but I believe it's a 2.1 liter...also I would assume reinforced...

Put it this way....after Gary's every run, he would come back to the pits (while I was on his xbox 360 lol) and swap out a new motor into it for the next run. So yes, it has potential...but how long will the motor actually last with that much hp and very little displacement?

Yes, it's a 2.1...

As for lasting of the motor, when I was helping / filming at the world finals for Marty Ladwigs team, they swapped the motor for the final round. That was the first time they had done that all year from what I was told . Gardella just likes to blow ish up . He did that back in Virginia I believe when he was in the pits revving up the engine and lost a rocker...

Here is the thing the 398CI motor is one of the only NHRA approved Centrifugal blowers in the competition....as some of you guys dont know...prochargers are not allowed in some classes because they say it is not fair to run a procharger in the same league of a turbo or roots...so that is why this car is such a big deal cause it is approved for NHRA and it is ProCharged...

either way if it is a 2.5L ecotec race block or a 398ci small block just the fact it is stuffed into a Cobalt or a Redline blows me away...

John died in one of the fastest Cavi that hit the track!
