Damn wipers chatter like crazy!!!

I have never had a car that had wipers this loud. They chatter like crazy. I've tried a couple of different brands of wiper. I finally just put RainX on the windshield and have quit using them. Anyone else experience this? Have a solution?

As wipers age, the sun degrades them, and they get hard and stiff. This would apply to you as you are in Alabama and get lots of sun. This is one of the reasons that some wiper companies recommend to replace wiperes every 6 months. I can usually get by with replacing mine every 12-18 months, but we get no sun in the winter in Ohio.

very true, course ive never changed mine, and its been about 2.5 years. No issues yet unless the glass is too dry.

You must have gotten some REALLY good ones, cause my origionals lasted 2 months, and the factory replacements that I got lasted only 9 months. My current set, RainX are at just over 12 months now and still work good.

wow, my stock set lasted me over 2 years
I bought RAINX wipers to replace them, and they were junk within a month
I bought the $6 wipers at Pep Boys, and they've lasted over a year
