I'm on the verge of getting a 07 SS/SC and have a question regarding the rims. I've see around town a black SS/SC with what appears to be dark gray rims. Can somebody tell me if those are the standard rims, or were they an option for 05's or 06's and eliminated for 07? For 07 it appears you can only get the standard painted rim, or high polished. Is the painted rim the one I’m seeing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I have a question regarding the available stage kits. Do you have to have them dealer installed in order to keep from voiding the warranty? Or, can you install them yourself and just take it to the dealer to have the computer reflashed?

The rims you saw are the standard option 18 inch gunmetal aluminum rims that come on the 05-06 SS/SC.

As for the stage kits, you can indeed install them yourself, provided you have a pulley puller, and then take it to the dealer to have the reflash done for about 100 bucks or so
