dash light

I have noticed that from time to time the dash light on my 2006 LT instrument panel goes off. When I turn the car off and back on the light is back on. Has anyone else had this problem, and isn't the light supposed to always be on?

if you are talking about the back lights behind the gauges themselves, they are only on when the headlights are on. if you have your headlights on auto then they should be off during brighter conditions outside and on when it gets darker. try turning your lights on and off manually to see if that has any effect.

If its during the day, yet its a cloudy and kind of dark day, the lights will tend to flicker on and off because of the Auto lights. I've noticed days like these the headlights stay on, but the dashlights tend do differ trying to make it so you can "see" them
