Dash light color

How hard is it to change the color for the lights behind the guage cluster? I seen a pic of somebody with blue lights for their dash and it looked awesome. Im not fond of the yellow greenish color that light up my guage cluster.

Any idea on how difficult it is to change them? Wondering if its worth the hassle or not.

your best bet would probably be to get the cluster overlay from blackcatcustoms.com and install that with one of the led kits.

^^^i have the blue led kit through black cat customs. I love it!! especially on the stock gauge faces.

to the OP. Swapping out the LED's isnt that hard. If you go through blackcatcustoms.com and get one of their kits they walk you through everything.

If you dont, basically, all you need to be able to do is basic soldering (sp?) and mark where your needles are before you pull them off. Pretty simple, just take your time if you do it.

X2...I was going to suggest the same thing. You mine as well change out the whole thing than just to put a couple of lights back there. Be well worth the trouble of getting everything out.

usually more then that. as the bulbs are soldered to the circuit board of the instrument cluster. now unless you are really good at soldering, i wouldn't recommend it just for that slight chance that something gets screwed up and then you have to buy a new instrument cluster. and we don't want that now do we

its not as hard as you think.

You de solder 2 points on an led, and re solder the new leds. and put it back together.

i know this and you know this but for someone who has never soldered before, could potentially touch the soldering iron to something that shouldn't be touched ya know.
