Debadging my Sport? (pic)

I was thinking about debadging some of the logos from my sport and maybe rebadging them or painting them. Or maybe i will take off the bowtie and leave the others or vice versa or whatever. I just wanted to get your opinions on what do you think will look good.

Thanks

Move the Cobalt where the Chevy emblem is, remove the sport / rear emblem, leave the front one.

IMO. =D

wow, the sport badge is cool. never knew what it looked like. take off everything except sport, and move it to the center underneath that reverse light. JMO.

Get rid of the Cobalt badge. Leave the Bowtie but paint it black but keep the chrome outline. Move the Sport badge to the lower right side of the trunk lid like where they put the "turbocharged" badge on the SS/TC.

Wow, great idea, I am definitely leaning toward this as of now. How difficult would this end up being? I will probably be taking them off with 25lb spider wire and some goo gone to get the extra **** off. Correct me if I am wrong but I have also read to reattach them with 3m double sided (foam) tape?

The painting of the chevy emblem sounds like the only hard part for me as of now.

Wow, I just realized my temporary license plate date is tomorrow while looking at the picture lol

Your best friend for taking off badges and decals is a heat gun (carefully!) or a blow dryer and patience........the fishing line should be secondary if you need it. Goo Gone is a good way to get rid of any left over residue.

Forget the spider wire. For the sport badge all you have to do is use something to lift one edge of the badge up(I used a small open ended wrench, just be careful not to scratch the paint, remember you're only LIFTING with it), get your fingers under it and PULL! Then you just scratch off what you can of the residue and use goo gone or bug & tar remover to get the rest off and then put some wax on. I could never tell I had those stupid GM badges or the Sport badge.

ok so if you wanna see how the bowtie should come out check out mine.
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/08-10-ss-turbocharged-general-discussion-152/finally-got-my-camera-fixed-56k-no-way-125255/

take emblem off (socket) then get the whole part and heat it up real good(blow drier/heat gun) after sufficiently hot get a razor blade between the chrome and the gold and pull when you get enough gap, slide a flat head in the gap then its pie....paint badge (in nice place with no wind/dust) 3 coats of black 5 of clear coat is what i used..3m adhesive to put (now black bowtie) back into chrome outline....done lol ps i actually did 2 of these and i have 1 left (front grill) slight line in the paint from a crack in the emblem not very noticeable i give ya 4 15 bucks+ shipping.
