Deer vs. Cobalt...PICS

So i'm on my way to work today, it's dark 6:00 am-ish, i get off of 531 and turn onto washington st., all is well i go over a hill...and BAM...whats up there buddy. Nailed a deer, there was traffic coming the other way so i didn't swerve...took it like a champ.

The cobalt still runs, the radiator is dented, but nothing broke. I haven't had the hood up yet, but if you look at the pics, it's probably not going to happen. Talked to insurance, they said it's "an act of god" so i don't get to look forward to an insurance hike. When i get it assessed i'll update.

i like how the deer decided to blow it's friggin' nose on my car...must have had allergies, it is the season you know.

the deer must have been from the 80's cause it was doing some awesome break dance moves in the ditch until it ended up dying about 100 feet away.

Hmmm...might be time to consider a carbon fiber hood upgrade, since insurance may pay the bulk of it....

I clipped a deer a little over two weeks ago, but luckily I just got her back leg with very little damage to the 'Balt. It dented the bottom lip a little bit (no cracks - thank God) and left a couple minor scratches, but nothing major.

dam dude...at least you and the car are some what ok...at least she still runs.

this is what i dont get...

who cares if some dumb animal is alrite or not after they caused something like this to happen.....

on a ski trip a few years back we were heading to minisota for FIS race and we were in a fully packed excursion that had a brush gard on it and we were haulling a 8000lb trailer....we hit a deer going about 80 and all i felt was "bump" and a spray of blood over the windshield....that deer got what it deserves for walking in front of a dam truck!

next gas station we pulled in and sprayed the truck off...it was fine! thanks to the brush gaurd.

Lets see, new facia, grill, hood, and radiator, and it looks like you are good to go. I would agree with the above statement. If you are looking for an aftermarket facia or hood, now would be the right time.

I hit deer with a jet once. No ****. Gimme a sec, I'll post the pic.

It was about 5:30 in the morning. Nobody at the airport but myself and my co-pilot. Got to about 90 knots and saw a herd of 7 on the left side of the runway. So what do they do? Run directly across the runway in front of the plane. Ruptured the fuel tank and had HAZMAT out there for the next 5 hours cleaning up kerosene.

We can't really blame the deer... I mean... we put the road through THERE back yard.

I'm just glad you were on the ground when you hit it.

I have yet to hit a deer in the air. Flying pigs are sometimes a problem.
