Definitely a stupid question but...

Where the hell is the spot for the back of our ss/sc cars to jack up the rear of our cobalts on each side? I can't find it for the life of me, plus it was getting dark and cold outside lol. Its probably right in front of my nose.

Just on the other side of your side skirts there is an edge of the body its called a pinch weld. That is where you jack the vehical. Should be in your owners manual. Either that or you can jack up the whole rear by the rear axle.

Are you using a floor jack or the jack in the trunk? If you're using a floor jack I wouldn't use the pinch welds, you could crush them. Also, if you drive where they use salt on your roads your rockers could begin to rust over time because when you use the jack sometimes paint scrapes off the pinch welds. And as we all know, bare metal + moisture and salt = rust. I use where the rear "axle" bolts to the unibody, there should be a bolt there. You'll see it if you look under the car. For the front I put it on the subframe, right below where the control arm bolts up.

You should have seen me looking for the drain plug on my last car when I was gonna change the oil. I spent at least 30 minutes looking for it.....where was it? Damnit if it wasn't about 5 inches away from the Oil Filter. haha
