DEI will still be around... I imagine they will find another driver. But DEI without DE... mmm.
Jr. has needed this for a while... time to get a team behind him that will actually let him win some races. Gordon, Johnson, & their crew seem unstoppable right now.
I know that Budweiser is going with Jr. but has it been said how much of his current crew will be going with him?

He said he does not want to drive the #3 yet. He should go to Hendrick. Prob will go with Childress or Gibbs. Tony's new teammate? I'm a SR fan, I wish JR well, love the drama. 24 for the Championship this year!
They would have to get rid of one of their drivers at Hendrick.

I don't particularly like kyle but he performs so prob not, most likely Casey Mears.

Tont and Jr are really really good friends. Jr even got him into the Chevy Impalla Comercial. + He is a BIG fan of the Redskins and Jo Gibbs, so I'd almost put $$ down he go's there. He also said he only wants to drive for Chevy, so it looks like RCR/Gibbs. I'd Love just about more than anything for him to go to Hendricks and them get rid of mears (Even tho I had high hopes for mears) But I don't see them kicking Mears for a while. He has like 2 more years I think.

Yeah supposedly Mears can't drive cars set up like Gordon's, Jimmy or Kyle. Maybe he just can't drive?? Hendricks is building cars just for him. **** let me drive any of those cars and I'll find a way to make it work.

It will be interesting to see what happens next year. It will definetly be a toss up as to where Junior goes, either RCR or Gibbs, but don't rule out Ginn racing either. Mark Martin is doing pretty good in the 01. But I don't see Hendrick giving up one of his drivers just so he can get Junior into one of his cars. As for DEI, i see them merging with Yates and running Fords next year.
RuSSo, don't give up on Mears yet, they were talking to him the other day and he said that they just haven't found the right combination for him yet. He has tried driving all of his other teammates cars and they didn't work for him. Remember he drove a Dodge for the last 4 years and he also has a new crew chief. They said they are building him brand new cars, so I forsee him getting up to speed by the end of the year.
