DIC (Driver Information Center)
Cobalt owners,
Does the Cobalt have a "Distance to Empty" display in the DIC? Personally, I like being able to see how many miles the car has left before it will run out of gas than just the normal fuel gauge (Which, according to some owners of Cobalts on this site, isn't working correctly).

Becarefull with that... How many miles are left... I have that on my Beretta.. It has a digital dash all the way across... That's like an AVERAGE!!! so if it says you have 20 miles left or even 60 miles left GO TO THE GAS STATION.. lol
P.S. Here is a little test to see what I am talking about.. Fill up your tank.. and lets say it says that you have 300 miles to that tank... If you left your car idleing for an hour you'll see that it will read something lower than 300 miles EVEN THO YOU DIDN'T DRIVE IT...
The computer on the car count 0 MPH and a mile and figured out the average...
Something like that!
It uses the "Average Miles Per Gallon" for something like the last 20 miles and then figures how much gas you have.
Keep in mind that when it hits "0 miles until empty" that is just normally the point where the light comes on, you should still have about 20 miles on it when it hits "0."

on all the new GM cars that i've seen, when it gets to 50 miles, it goes to "low" or something like that, it doesn't go all the way down, like on the old beretta... if i'm that low on gas, i wanna know exactly how far i have left, not just low, i know its low... and it does go by the average mpg, if u leave the car idling, ur mileage goes down, so ur range goes down...

I don't think the Cobalt has a low fuel light. Instead, it shows "LOW FUEL" in the Driver Information Center until you get some gas.
