Discountgmparts **stay Away** (long)

STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE ON EBAY

This is an armrest I bought from this idiot outfit on EBAY.

Item number: EBAY 8055256271 discountgmparts

This Auction is for an EBONY or Charcol Arm Rest Setup to install in your Chevrolet Cobalt SS which dosen't come with this Option. This Is a Direct Installation and no Modification is Needed.

ME April : I purchased this armrest and got it yesterday. I did not get all the parts to mount it with. There should be a mounting plate, 4 screws and cupholders. I can send you a picture if you give me an email address

THEM No That wouldn't be nessesary. You recieved everything that was in the picture. No Cupholders either because they are mounted in the console.

ME April I can not use this without the bracket and bolts and cupholders. This kit from GM supplies all this with instructions. You advertised this as new and setup to go in a SS car with no armrest. If you can't supply the missing parts then I want a refund. Cost through GM is $71 so I saved nothing.

THEM Ok send it back we will pay return shipping and when we recieve it I will refund your payment. Sorry but you should of read what was included!

ME April Don't make this out to be my fault. You stated This Is a Direct Installation and no Modification is Needed, without that bracket and screws it makes it impossible to mount this in the car. I went to Chev dealer today to try and get that bracket and you can not without buying the whole armrest. Give me a return address and do you want me to send this 2 day air ups?

ME April I need a return address to send this back. You have 1 address when I sent you the check and another address on the box you sent. I have to drive a distance to get to ups store so please answer me as to where this gets mailed back to.

ME MAY 3: The package has been returned to you and now the refund I am due should be in the mail, is that correct?

THEM May 3: No thats not correct. The Package was delivered in the afternoon around 3. All Payments go out early than then that so no we didnt get your refund out yet.

ME May 9 Where's my refund on this?

THEM: No answer

ME: Again I ask, did my refund go out?

THEM May 10: It gos out this week. I told you I would pay return shipping so you will not get refunded shipping fees from you shipping it back to us.

ME May 10:: You got the returned package 6 days ago and you haven't mailed the refund back yet? I promptly paid you when I bought it and as a courtesy I should be refunded as quickly and also with certified funds the same as you expect from your customers.

THEM MAY 10: Read our return policy!

ME May 10: Now what would your policy read if I could find it? Are you sending me the refund or what?

THEM MAY 10: Go to anyone of my auctions and you can read it. Go to the auction page of our auction

ME MAY 10: I don't care what your policy is. Can you just answer my question and that is are you sending my money back to me?

THEM May 15 You will get refunded for the cost of the armrest minus shipping. You failed to ready my auction terms and shouldn't even be able to get a cash refund but i'll make an exception. It will be going out this week express mail!

ME May 15 Thank you very much and when I get the refund I will give a positive feedback.

ME May 15 sounds good. sorry it had to come to this. as you see from my feedback i try to keep my buyers satisfied. have a good night!

ME May 22 Have you sent the refund yet? I didn't get it.

ME May 23 No response from seller so I send again:
Mail has come for the day and nothing from you. You said my refund was going out EXPRESS 8 days ago. I ask 1 more time are you sending or what? I'm going to lunch right now and I would appreciate seeing an answer from you when I return. I thought we mutually agreed that we took care of this deal.

ME May 23, no response, just sent this
My patience has now run out with you. Keep the goddamn $51. You will be losing a lot more then $51 when I get done. Don't say I didn't warn you

ME May 23 I filed a dispute with Ebay

THEM May 23 DON'T THREATEN ME IDIOT. CAN YOU NOT READ THE TERMS?? DOES IT NOT SAY IT YOU CANNOT COMPLY DON'T BID!!?? ALL HONESTY I WAS PUTTING YOUR MONEY ORDER IN THE MAIL TODAY SINCE I HAVEN'T DID IT LAST WEEK DUE TO I MISPLACED IT IN MY DESK. WE ACTUALLY HAVE A $65 MONEY ORDER FOR YOUR AGGORVATION. THE FEEDBACK WAS UNCALLED FOR.

ME May 23 You deserved that feedback and this is just the beginning, you'll be getting many more of the same feedbacks. We been going round and round about this. All you had to do was send me the refund like you said you were going to do 2 times. I wrote you 2 times in the last 2 days and got no answers. You say 1 thing then don't follow up on what you say. I'll show you who the idiot is, IDIOT

ME May 23 I filed a claim with Ebay. If I'm in favor I'll get $26 back which is better then nothing

THEM May 23 IM NOT FIGHTING WITH YOU EITHER YOU WANT THIS REFUND OR NOT!! I HAVE A REFUND FOR YOU EITHER YOU WANT IT OR NOT..... LOOK AT MY FEEDBACK YOU ACT LIKE I GO AROUND BEATING PEOPLE WHEN I DON'T. I'M SORRY IVE BEEN OUT OF TOWN AND I FORGOT TO SEND IT. IM SORRY THIS HAS BEEN A BIG MISUNDERSTANDING, IF YOU WANT TO ESCALATE THIS MATTER FURTHER....YOU CAN BUT IM TRYING TO PUT THIS BEHIND US.

ME May 23 This is my last email to you on this matter. I've heard you say you were sending me a refund 2 times now and the last time EXPRESS. I'm out $72 right now. All I'm asking for is the $52 I sent you in the money order. Send me my money and I'll stop what I'm doing and I'd bet you would just love to know what that is.

At least you will screw him in the end with the negative feedback. Sorry to hear about that whole deal though.

Oh Yeah, They got the negative feedback and they don't like it. I really don't care about the money now. I just want to see their business die on ebay now. I see that they have their feedback comments hiding now.

i just sent him a message, I encourage you to message all his bidders with your story, and the link to this page

I just talked to a guy who you scammed over on an armrest, and I just wanna let you know I'm really appalled. He posted all the emails on a Cobalt Forum with THOUSANDS of members, all possible customers for you. Since you decided to screw him over, that will be the most expensive $52 you ever got from an ebay auction. I see you even hid you feedback now because of it. That seems really shady. I think I'm going to send a message to every bidder involved in your auctions, and link them to the post on the forum. It doesn't matter to me whether or not you return the guy's money, you just gave yourself a big black eye. It's people like you that hurt the online automotive community.

That was great, I love it, thanks. If you click on their READ FEEDBACK COMMENTS then click on LEARN MORE ABOUT ME it will list the feedbacks that they're trying to hide.

I just sent the douche a message myself, and I encourage everyone to do the same. I'm sure if even 15 or 20 of the 7345 members on this site send him messages, he'll get the picture.

Here's my message, BTW:

Hey, I just read a thread on a Cobalt SS forum that I frequent regarding an armrest you won't refund money for, and you have people PISSED. That $52 armrest is definitely going to cost you a LOT of money, as you have driven away potentially THOUSANDS of customers (7345 to be exact). Hiding your feedback after all of this doesn't reflect well on you at all, either. I know I'm not the first person to send you a message on the matter, and I definitely won't be the last. Here's the link for your reference: https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/showthread.php?t=20965

Not knowing the guy you ripped off, it doesn't affect me whether or not you refund him his money. It does, however, affect you. Vendors such as yourself make it much harder than it has to be to find a good place to shop.

Typical, I've run into guys like this before.

You have to be very careful and make sure the deal is legit.

I'm going through this right now with ebay.
Back in February, I bid on and won a Team Canada Wayne Gretzky jersey. Sent out the $81 money order and kicked back happily waiting for my jersey to arrive. (this was before I set up a paypal account). One month goes by. Nothing. Two months. Nothing. By the end of two months, i start emailing, messaging, sending smoke signals, whatever. The seller blows sunshine up my ass, tells me that the item has shipped, gives me tracking numbers that don't work. I message back, they tell me here try these... those don't work. By now, we are at three months, still no jersey. So I get pissed and file a negative feedback with ebay. They message me back with a feedback retraction form and left feedback for me saying that I never paid for the item. Um, *******, I have the receipt for the money order with YOUR address on it in my ******* hand!! Plus, all the corrospondence back and forth. So I try ebay... yeah, good luck there... what a bunch of flaming idiots. So, now, I am out $81 dollars, have a negative feedback on my i.d. and have been completely ripped off.

As a last resort, i called the Houston police department, but they were doubtful that they could help me, but would have a fraud detective call me back. That was Monday.
Blah.

You should be able to trace the money order, to verify that it was indeed cashed. If it was, you (well maybe not you personally) can find out who cashed it and go from there. Good luck there man!

Already ahead of you, my man... had it traced last week... it was indeed cashed by the seller. That's what made me call the PD out there. It's **** like this that just pisses you off... i know damn well that my cash is gone and there's nothing I can do about it.

Oh well... live and learn.
I consider this an $81 learning experience.

Their latest response, I guess after my club buds here sent them emails.

listen i hear another thing about you bad mouthing me or my business or having somebody else harass me im going to my lawyer. You cannot do that b/c you didn't read my TERMS. Your money will be in the mail

My response

ME May 24 I been hearing that the money was going to be in the mail for a month now. I knew about your terms and I read them. I have all the emails documented. You told me right from the beginning send the armrest back and I will refund the money. So I sent it back and then you start this READ MY TERMS ****. I send you emails and you don't reply. The only way I get a response from you is when you hear from EBAY or other potential customers. If we were talking 100's of dollars I would have taken it to a lawyer. As a matter of fact I showed all the emails to a retired judge that lives here in the neighborhood and he said once you said return the item and we will refund you the money you had no leg to stand on. Again I say, I'm out $72 and all you had to do is send me the $51 I paid you for the armrest and that will be that

Philly, PA, yep these are the same scumbags! I paid for and never got a polished Ecotec valve cover and these SOB's a scum!
there is a reason they keep their crap private, they have the same mo, they have 10-20 positives then start going negative.
this was the info from long ago...

Kccauto, modernxevoluion, now discount gm parts, these are trash!

I even went theu safe harbor, got a mediator etc and the end result was the square trade rep ended up saying they were deadbeats and that they refunded my payment for the dispute, but the original amount was never recovered. I did contact the pd down there and filed a report, I would say you should do the same!
