Thumbs down How About NO!!

Yeah I'm bragging about the SS S/C but I love this car and I think everyone who has a base model (saying you could afford it) should one day get the cobalt ss or the new 08's that are coming out (RS or cobalt sport i think its called.)

I just really think this car is that amazing and hold a lot of potential if put given the correct elbow grease and cash into it.
Ya know what, man, no, it doesn't feel great when you get screwed over and dicked around and you have to settle for an LS, automatic at that, nor does it feel good when a SS/SC owner laughes at you or treats you like a lower form when you try to give him a thumbs up when driving next to him. No, it doesn't give all of us a great feeling. It gives some of us a feeling of ENVY, and makes ME ask "Why would I get dicked around and screwed and why does this guy get to have an SS/SC when i worked my ass off and did what i was supposed to do, but let me give him the thumbs up anyway...oh look...he laughed at me and sped off!" Not everyone can just go get an ss/sc right away. not all of us are fortunate like you and can get a ss/sc because we like it. Usually, we're locked into this car for a few years, and seeing as they're discontinuing the car, some of us can't just get a brand spanking new one anymore. That's not cool.

Some of us don't want a 2.4L, some of our dream cars are 2.0L, and some of us will never be able to get the damn car.

With this price like almost every cobalt lover has said, Its worth every penny and still has the speed for some other cars that are worth twice as much =D
You didn't have to brag about anything. Its one thing to be proud of your car, but you're being arrogant about it.

You can think your cooler then LT owners all you want, but if you put your life in perspective your a small fish in a big sea and your SS/SC isn't ****. I own one, I know. I like the car, but I don't go around thinking I'm better then people for having it.
Thank you!! +rep Dreamer.

well im not rich. i work a regular job and im 19 and i go to college at the same time. my car payment is 500 a month (497.12 actually). i gave up a year of college to save up as much money as i could (working in dominos at the time as a manager) to get a down payment for the car and traded in my leased base model for the cobalt. right now total everything is 27k cause i also broke the lease. so you may be giving me your thumbs up, but at least you can still afford other bills =P haha

but either way i still love this car. even tho i had to make sacrifices for it. and yeah i work my butt off to afford this car if anyone asks.

I like the SS/SC, but I don't get the feelings that you brag about. It costs a few thousand more, and in the end is still a low-end-of-the-market econobox. Now if a Corvette did that to me, I may spare a thought about it, but I'd also give my airplane reply. Never fails.

If you think 'affordability' is the issue, lets just say my car was paid off in cash, and my flight bill is paid off with a black credit card to the sum of $1000+ a month. Car payment? Bah.

Although, one time a SS/SC driver was talking **** to me when I was on my way to go flying. Right before the light turned green I said it loud and clear, "Go ahead and peel out, I'm going to my other ride at the airport!"

He peeled out, of course, and the next light up was the airport intersection. I made the turn into the airport, and made sure he saw it. **********.

(Of course I had to have a retarded pose and look on my face...)

I work a regular, high paying job, and have worked my ass off for the last 3 years to get that freaking car, and I still couldn't get it. I'm going off to a University, not community college, so I have to save for that too! And my education is most important to me. As I can't do my dream job unless I have it.

You can be proud of your car,a nd that you had it, but you don't need to be arrogant of it. Saying things like , "I'm proud of my car, it makes other people who may deserve the car as well feel like crap and feel worse about themselves." is a dickish thing to say. Not cool.

then when i found out about the SS, it became my dream car and now that i have it. forget the celicas, forget the SE-R, forget the skyline and forget the ferrari...well not that. i love the enzo haha. but i think this car is amazing.

but i say the best part is flooring it in 2nd gear after a perfect shift from 1st and you hear the car roar....=D

im getting all excited just talking about it. im taking a drive around town =D
You've clearly never driven anything thats truely great. It will change your persective on cars once you do. My brief day or so in a 360 Modena was priceless and it really put cars in perspective for me because I've now driven everything from the biggest POS, to the best of the best. You my friend need a reality check.

Enjoy your car though and if it makes you that happy then that's great, most people go through their life and never are satisfied, if a 20k dollar car makes you satisfied then more power to you, but don't belittle others because they don't have one.

A dont know man, just because it has that horse on it doesnt mean a modena is the fastest thing out there. You truly havent seen speed then. A 900hp Supra will give you a kick in the nuts, lol. But nonetheless good post as always dreamer. Anything still up with the drive up to the north pole?

No problem man. My biggest pet peeve is people who talk down to others because they may not be as fortunate as them. That just drives me nuts.

I've driven a 9 second Camaro. That was pretty freaking fast. lol I still enjoyed the Ferrari more though because 180mph+ is just insane and it's surreal.

The problem getting to the Artic Ocean is getting premium fuel past Fairbanks Alaska. I think it's going to screw up the whole trip. Plus I can't do it until 2009 due to my job and 2008 being an election year. I still want to do it though and I've done quite a bit of research so when I'm able to devote a lot of time to it I have a good start.

Ahh, well at least your still up to it. I think it would be awesome and would be down in a heartbeat. As for gas, hmmm we can just talk Jekyl (I think thats his name) with his big truck to follow and tow a shitload of 93 behind us depending on the number of people or every cobalt can have their own little trailer of gas, lol. As for your job, I guess we shall just wait til then, lol.

so one day i was driving and saw a ss s/c and i said dam i need to get that car and i got the 07 and bought it.

so im sorry if thats the impression that i gave. its not what i was trying to reach out.
