Don't forget to change your cabin air filter!

Lately I've been wondering why my ac fan seemed so weak, I don't use it much, but since it's been so hot out lately I started using my ac. So it dawned on me while at work to check my cabin air filter, and this is what I found...

this shows a comparison picture between the old one and the new one. This is after 27000 miles on my car. I imagine some of your cars out there have a lot more than that and have never changed them. Since I changed it, my fan feels about 50% more powerful, so change those filters!

For the record, it's about $20 at a dealer, so you might wanna shop around for one online to see if you can find one cheaper.

it's behind the glove box, you gotta push in the sides of it, so that it can drop down far enough to reach it, here's the how to I used

Aren't our filters carbon activated to change colour anyways? Still change them of course but it just means they'll look dirty after you put them in anyways.

I really don't know if that's true or not, either way mine was pretty well packed with dirt. I blew on mine and dirt went flying out of it.

the OEM filter is a carbon filter and makes it look blacker than it really is, replacement GM ones arent. they are just plain white paper.

Fram makes a carbon and baking soda filter.
