Well, start by removing anything from your car that isn't bolted down, check your tires (inflation, torque, etc), and make sure everything that is bolted down is tight. If you want that extra 1/100th of a second, go there with enough gas to do your racing and then get to the nearest gas station after.
if you're so inclined. gut the car. take out the passenger seat, rear seat, rear back rest, trunk floor, spair, side trunk carpeting. i've taken out more than that before but i'd say thats good.

theres quite a bit in this picture that was later taken out. hahah.
inflate the rear tires to 45psi. deflate the fronts to 21-22. make sure you have a portable pump to reinflate them though for the journy home. take out the headlight and headlight bracket on the passenger side(i think thats your intake side). the easiest thing is to just go with a low amount in the tank.
would be better if you didn't have a spoiler either.
also if you have time. go pick up some peewee footballs and shove them inside the rear springs to help reduce squat upon launch.

Why do u say to deflate the fronts to 21-22?
I've always found that the best way to find what pressure to run is to do the following..
Air up the tires to the door specs..
Do a quick "bark" look a the marks you made.
If its a full contact patch. Your good to go.
adjust as needed..
More black in the middle than the sides. Too much air..
More black on the sides..not enough air.
Lowering the tire pressure's to 21 psi will hurt you in most case's with street tires..Now drag slicks or d/r's is a different story

most street tires will hold 21psi with an even contact patch before concaving(too little air, blacker on the sides). giving play in the sidewall for better grip.
drag slicks and radials on a FWD will generally be 17-19psi

just have fun, you wont to great your first time out but dont let it discourage u
Not for Street Tires, I would go about 27-29 PSI
24-26 pounds...in fact run 24 pounds when you arrive, after your first run and everything is good and warm it should be around 25-26 which is just about the sweet spot. Do not overinflate your rears, should something happen that you need to suddenly get out of the power you don't want that mess behind you.
