Driving Stick in HeeLs...

I have a question for obviously the ladies on here...I happen to wear heels almost every single day, because of my job and by choice, but anyway...I have noticed that my driver side mat has actually worn a hole through it and I'm guessing it's from the different pairs of heels that I wear. However, I have noticed that my boyfriends SS/SC drivers mat is wearing through at the same spot, also. I hope he's not wearing heels, but has anyone else experienced this problem?

I bought some clear mats at walmart for $5. I have only had my car for a week, but I got them because where I work, there is a lot of glue and fiberglass that gets stuck on your shoes. I put the clear ones on top of the original ones. I don't know if something like this will stop the mats from wearing where your foot rests.

Not a lady and I don't wear heals, but even as a dude who wears shoes and sneakers I burn through floor mats. After 3 years my Sunfire driver's side mat was beat. Think I'm just going to find some nice heavy duty black rubber ones that don't look like ass...

Simple fix...don't wear heels and angle your foot more so as not to rub the mat.

Mats are there to protect the capert on the floor boards from wearing. So they are working as intended.

Interesting... What size heels? Can we see a pic of the legs while wearing the heels and a miniskirt? Could help us on how to fix your problem...

I actually had mine replaced under warranty because the same thing happened to me, and it wore through the actual carpet itself....so I got new floormats and an entire new carpet lol. You would think they make these mats a bit thicker......if you go buy new ones make sure they fit to the countour of the driver side.....

I get the same thing and I rarely drive in heels. I think it's just that any shoe moving around on the floor mat is going to wear it out, whether it be a heel or a regular shoe.

I was actually going to PM you about diamond plate floor mats. You were the first girl that popped into my mind for some reason, I thought to myself, Donna would know!

we have them available on our site for sale. i think its much better then having to eventually replace the carpeting. also real good in slow and rain...no stinky wet carpet.

Exactly...especially in PA here, it's practically raining everyday. I will definitely have to check into diamond plate, thanks girl.

I suggest rubber floor mats. They are easy to clean and great if you live in an area with snow. You can find these anywhere, Walmart, meijer, autozone, Murrays, pepboys....
