Drove an 07 chevy cobalt...

Today at my dealership, id helped out my pdi guy cause he was getting behind. So I helped him pull in some new cars, one of which was a 07 cobalt, I didnt notice it at first, but the 07's have the hhr steering and radio. I also noticed immeadiately though how much more quality built the car was than my previous cobalt. No rattles at all, interior seemed much quieter and fit and finish seemed tighter than before. Also noticed the getrag 5 spd was much more crisper and more smooth when shifting. i was definitely amazaed at the difference between the 06 and 07 cobalts. Hopefully yall will see for yall selfs here very soon...

It also seems as they fixed the door trim problem and also the headlight alignment problem, and im sure they solved most of the other defects as well.

I hope they have, if they haven't fixed the most glaring issues by the 3rd model year, i would have to rethink getting one.

I have no headlight alignment problems (didnt know anyone did), I dont have door trim problems, I dont have any internal squeaks, I dont have a GETDRAG it is a F35 from SAAB (in 2008 I hope they get the F25 it a six spd)

Major problem on my car was a brake booster. I am sure they have improved but really

Yeah.. I don't have an interior noise in my car at all.. I don't have a headlight allignment issue to my knowledge, and I deffinetly don't have a door trim issue either.. Not a clue what your talking about.

Either way, glad to see some 07's rolling on the lot already.

The only thing I have a complaint about on my '06 is a rattle. I only have 1500 miles on it and have not taken it in yet. It's not your typical bump rattle but sounds like something is broke because it happens at any speed on all surfaces. Other than that, nothing. Great little car. What's the differance in the radio and steering wheel?

Yeah, I'm really hoping build quality is up. That radio is an improvement as well; gotta love the AUX jack.

Was it a base model, SS, SS/SC that you drove?

Only rattle I have is if I have change in the door panel "change holders". Makes an awful noise when I close the door - but I guess they weren't meant to hold coins.

I think it's actually a front bumper alignment issue, a LOT of cobalts have a misaligned front bumper where It's higher and covers the passenger headlight just slightly, but on the driver side it is properly gapped. I have seen a LOT of them with it, it's just not very noticeable.

It's pretty bad on my car...you can fit your finger in the gap between the bumper and the passenger headlight.

How could hear them over that exhaust?

I have a couple rattles. Nothing real bad though. I also have the bumper alignment problem.

Dude my magnaflow is almost silent when cruising at 80, the flowmaster had really bad drone but the magnaflow is only loud when you get on it. Thats what I like about it.

No pics needed just look at www.pontiac.com at the G5. The cobalt interior looks the same except there is a bowtie in the place of the pontiac crest.
