Dual Intake Cam Modification

I was wondering about different cams on our cars for when I go with the LSJ swap. I have modded a few Saturns over the years and one modification that has some debate behind it is swapping in two intake cams when boosting.

Has anyone hear heard about this or even go as far as try it with the ecotec?

Let me know or discuss....

I ran the dual intake cam mod on my 93 SC2 after I rebuilt the engine. That was an awesome cheap mod for the LLO, however I've never heard of it on an ecotec. Definitely in for some responses.

I love boosted saturns. I was in the process of building a 1st gen wagon with a Megasquirt, T04E, 750cc injectors and other bad ass bits but the damn wagon got totalled.

So my grandma gave me the cobalt for free since it needed a clutch and other maintenance work done to it.

When I had my Focus SVT there were a few people on the forums that had done it with the standard Zetec engine just to try it. Most noticed a small gain in the mid range, and no gains up top. Different platform though. I tried to google this for you because I've never heard of it myself being done on an ecotec, and this specific thread is the only relevant thing I could find.

I do bid you good luck finding an answer, someone with a lot more knowledge of this platform might be able to chime in.

all your aftermarket cams are based off 2 intake cam blanks and custom ground from there

Really? That is interesting. I plan on putting the SS/SC on my LAP do you think there is value in adding a second intake cam? I wouldnt know if there is an increase because I wouldnt have a baseline with the SC.

But the Ecotec is a dime a dozen and I can get a second intake cam for dick-nothing.
