So I'm curious to know how much of a loss a 4-1 header will be as compared to a 4-2-1?
I know the 4-2-1 is gunna be better low and mid, and 4-1 is better peak. But how much does the 4-1 lose compared to 4-2-1 mids and lows? Thanks

Im interested in a used 4-1 header but if the 4-2-1 is gunna be alot better id just buy new

mid length have the tendency to help your mid range, shorty usually helps your top end, long tube should help more low end. But any decent header should help the car breath all around.
as far as 4-2-1 or 4-1 i dont know the affects/purpose, but i'd imagine most of it depends on scavenging effects of the collectors on the primaries and cylinders.
This is well built collector
will flow really well along with the equal length primaries.
similar to this Burns collector

however this(jbp "noodle" vortex header) collector as you can see is crap...actually the header as a whole is lol
i don't know much about the CIA header either, never looked into it.

since your a 2.2 tho, dont get a header with primaries larger than 1.625(1-5/8")
from the pics i've seen, the tri-y looks pretty good, dont recall hearing too many complaints about them either

ah the ottp is long and i dunno if i want long. I know 1 5/8" is what i would be getting
but like I said I'm just interested in the power difference between the 4-2-1 and the 4-1 in the mids?
because I'll just buy a new 4-2-1 if its significantly better then the 4-1.. I can pick one of those up used
