Do these F40 transmissions from the Opel insignia fit a cobalt ss supercharged?

 

Yes they fit. You have to get the proper transmission and then the conversion kit from zzp. Plus a new clutch and flywheel

 

The zzp kit comes with everything needed and that's if they have it available I've been waiting for mine for more than 2 months

He only had the transmission. To get it to work you need to get the zzp kit for the 6 speed conversion

Edit: Like Ecaulk just said, you would need the conversion kit, which is gonna set you back a couple grand on top of the cost of the tranny.

 

yeah i know...and thats gonna take forever to be back in stock. and then i have to get the clutch to. i dont know if i want to spend that much money on the car.

 

I may be wrong but I thought the ZZP kit came with selections for the clutch.

It comes with the standard F40 clutch according to their website, with the option to upgrade to their race clutch kit.

 

That what I said In my post about the kit "it comes with everything needed" only got the alignment tool separate but zzp had some issues with the person they get the axles from and like I said I've been waiting for them to send my kit for over 2 months

 

I really contemplated getting the f40 when my trans went but I couldn't justify spending 2g just for the "kit" Also I heard that certain f40s don't come with LSD?

 

Yeah not all come with lsd or to be honest I think none come with it or might not have the best gearing with lsd, but you could buy one. I have the f40 on my Saab and it's a really nice transmission
