That was Fast!!

My new SS 2.4 arrived already! I ordered it on 11/14 and it was originally supposed to be built this week and delivered on 12/14. Got a call today from the dealer that it came off the truck today! Went down there and filled out some paperwork and went for a little test drive, so far so good. Provided they get it prepped and the registration done I should be able to take it home Friday!

I can't believe it came 2 weeks after ordering. From what the gn mgr at the dealer said, GM is afraid of a strike so they're speeding things up......

I talked to a salesman at a dealer today (I wish I would have talked to someone a little less "seedy" or "carny" looking ) and he said that production was slow during the last months of the year and he might not be able to get me a car for 6-8 weeks.

Of course he kept trying to talk me into buying an automatic car when I want a manual. Why can't some of these salesmen just try to give me what I want and not try to tell me what I want. Drives me NUTS!!!!

what options did you order

vortecwes - 98% of the 2.4 ss's ive seen here in az have all been auto's , and 90% of the cobalts with leather interior with the butt warmers have been LT's , ive seen 3 2.4's with leather the rest are cloth

and most plants shut down for the holidays , and start back up after new years

The employees building cobalts aren't scheduled to be shutdown. Lordstown isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
