I personally think DeathScythe's (Danew) car is gonna be a top contender for that spot soon. He's got the TVS, full Hahn exhaust, cooling upgrades, mounts, clutch, etc etc....

No way. Those mods listed aren't even enough to even remotely be in the competition. There are like 3 or 4 cammed cobalts out there, and mine just got done, and its basically a race motor. A stock motor LSJ with the TVS would get eaten alive by a built LSJ with the M62.

it started out about the fastest cobalt. i said twin charge would be for the $. then it started out as no turbo just supercharger and no nitrous. then the thread started said nitrous is okay. so i said my setup is only at $907 still and breaking over 300whp. that is with gm stage 2 tune still. you could go get 60lb and a tune and be over 300whp easily.

 

like he said it will be a while, I just got the chance to dyno on wednesday and it was 267 whp, 241 wtq on a mustang dyno. My car right now is pretty much on a caveman tune, slightly modified from the time when I had the m62 on there. From what I understand, the mustangs rate relatively low, so I am happy with the numbers for now. It'll have to be next year though, I deploy for the gulf today. She'll be under the knife getting the little things done while I'm gone.

the mods that I have in my sig are actually on the car now. Nothing is on there that I don't have on the car. I don't care for being at the top like some of you do. You want to have a 500 whp balt don't you? Mine is going to have over 400 to the wheel but I want to find a medium where the car is still a dd. It's still early, but I have many things to add right now so we'll see what happens. I am a little happy that someone would even consider me for this list.

don't count yet?? I've already gone faster than anyone else on the forums stock pulley wise and I trap faster in the 1/8th than more than 50% of the board. lol.

I consider that pretty legit. Especially with the mods that will be put on come when I get back.
