Well as some of you know I am a Marine that was stationed overseas for 2 years. I have been on this site religiously for well over a year now watching everyone enjoy there Cobalt's and watching the aftermarket slowly take off.
Well tommorrow I finaly pick up my Brand New 06 Silver Cobalt SS S/c w/G85 and sunroof. The dealer even gave me a discount on the stage 2 if I bought it and had it installed before I picked the car up. So after a year and a half I finaly get my car. I paid $20,689 Tax, title, lic and Stage 2 out the door for the silver stalion. I thought I got a pretty damn good deal. I have to wait till I get to my next duty station in Cali to install a Injen CAI, Motor mount, trans mount and a Corse Touring exhaust. I'm am 100% excited and I thought I would share the good news with everyone. I also hope i can make it to the Michigan meet here in a week or so and if anyone wants to meet up in MI, I'm in Muskegon till the 23rd of May!

Woww and you got Stage 2 installed. If I woulda known all this i would have tried to talk them into doing the same thing. I didn't even get g85 and still paid 24 for mine. Weak!

 

Hope you enjoy your car! I'll be getting mine when I get back from my trip home. Can;t wait till the 15th!!!! Where were you stationed at overseas? I was just deployed to Guam for 4 months. LOL ah...air force deployments!

Hey thats cool man youre going to love it. I just got mine yesterday and it was great but yours will be better mine came with the sunroof for about 23,500 with tax and fees. But its a laser blue metallic looks purple and blue and it has black and light blue inserts inside its fun driving i love it just got it yesterday and i put 130 miles on it. I gave my 2006 Red Cobalt LS to my gf's mom.

The only thing you'll be missing out on is experiencing how quick this car is without the Stage kits. Now your car will definately movee.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. I'll never really get the chance to get stock dyno numbers either, which i was gonna do and slowing do mods and dyno every time but it looks like that won't happen. O well I just couldn't pass up the deal.

I went to Okinawa Japan in July 04, then I left for a tour in Iraq in Aug 04 till April 05 then spent the rest of the time on Okinawa till now. Off to cali for 3 months then I put the car in storage for my 2nd tour in Iraq then comes the major money and mods. Hopefully the after market will have a descent header out and maybe some other goddies out there to spend my money on when I get home again.
