Finally I got one.. an SS/SC!

So I was supposed to just go an test drive an 06 SS/SC today, but when I jumped it, and took it for a drive.. I actually fell in love with it I've never really driven anything with that kind of power or torque and I ended up placing a bid today, and it was accepted. Just waiting for the paperwork to go through the bank and everything. Ended up getting the extended bumper to bumper five year warrenty.

I'll be pickin it up at the lastest by saturday, so I'll post some pictures I guess. But most of us all know what a sunburst orange SS/SC looks like. Well i'm just glad to actually be apart of the community now, been reading the board for about 4 months now waiting to buy one haha

Justin!

I read the forums for a longgggg time as well too... You will only love it more each day!

Only thing is, you like that warranty now but soon you will be power hungry and throw it out the window :P

yeah man they are def fun to drive. i love it because i used to drive mustangs and camaros, and would hate dealing with civics, etc. now i am at their level still beating them! by their level i mean motor size, not to say my cobalt is equal to their pos's, lol

Grats on the purchase! IMO if you plan on modding it anytime soon, I wouldn't get the extra warranty. Waste of money. If not, then sounds good, considering it has 50k km in a year.

I do plan on modding it, but a little at a time. Like new rims and tires, lowered, gmpp catback, all the little things before the big upgrades. I gotta get use to the car first, i've never driven something with this much power (only a g35 coupe) i know i know thats pretty sad lol.

But thanks guys, glad to join the cobalt scene!!

PS: this thing has so much more power then my 2000 neon haha

Well my last two cars have been sticks.. first was the 93 elantra, and then a 2000 neon. And truthfully this car is gonna take some getting use to. Not sure if anyone else has this problem but I gotta get use to all that power right there haha..

And just wondering what the average age is on here? not that it matters, but ive been 19 for a month now

Warranties are iffy...an intake/exhaust/headers of any company will not void your warranty.

The only way they can void it, is if they prove the product you installed is directly linking the problem to happen.

Ex. a Turbocharger, if you throw a rod or punch a piston....then ya...a turbocharger adds air...

a intake/exhaust/headers simply allows the engine to breath.

Congrats on the purchase. you're going to love it! and the getting used to part: yeah it'll take a little seat time to get the feel for it, but before you know it, you won't want to drive anything else... this is coming for someone who used to drive a whopping 95Hp car! haha

Congrats on your new ride....I loved mine when I bought it...wish i would have gotten one used like you did instead of having it from mile 1 and save a few thousand...oh and I bought mine on my 18th birthday with the only help from mommy and daddy coming from their interest rates lol
