FireFox help!

Iv looked this up online and no luck. Anyway Firefox wont let me add bookmarks. I'll get to a web page I want to bookmark, I'll hit "bookmark this page" and then click "ok" and nothing happens. I saw one page online that said it might be set to read only but when I tried doing what it said to fix it I couldn't get to the area in my computer where they said to go. Here is the link http://www.velocityreviews.com/forum...k-problem.html

I had a similar problem once too, I must of clicked something in the settings... Truthfully I never figured it out specifically what it was, too lazy to search and find out, all I did was uninstall FireFox and reinstalled the newest version... fixed.

Your folder options may be set to hid files. Check it to show hidden files.

It's been fine for the longest time, then mid day yesterday I had to restart my computer and when I went to start up firefox it asked me "start new session or restore previous one" or something to that effect. I clicked "start new session" and I think that is when the problems started.

i got up until c:\ documents and settings\ my name, there is no application data after that. I also found out that I can save some bookmarks in just the bookmarks folder, but they save with no name, and I cant get anything to save to my bookmarks tool bar.

do this:

Start
Run
Type "Explorer"
in explorer go to tools, then folder options, view,

uncheck "hide extensions for known file types" and "hide protected operating system files"
also check "show hidden files and folders" once these settings are applied the application data folder will appear follow the instructions from there... change those settings back when your done

Hmm, well what you told me worked, I thank you greatly. The instructions I found don't work, I still cant save in the bookmarks tool bar
EDIT:
I just made a new profile, and imported my bookmarks FTW! Thanks for all the help guys, another crisis solved
